Abdul-Rauf believes in the bridging of research and industry as a practice. His approach to design is inspired by ecological and heritage values, taking into account presented design opportunities integrated contextually. His pursuit for clarity in design and his ambition for environmental sustainability reflects in his work which emphasizes the elegance in simplicity and the authentic aesthetics in materials. Abdul-Rauf’s work in urban research focuses on the multi-faceted complexities between the socio-cultural and environmental qualities of urban contexts.

Hakeem Mustapha, MArch

Architectural Designer

Hakeem is a young designer in the architecture space in Ghana. He has great interest in research based design and a hands-on approach to design. His experience cover a range from product design, urban and environmental research, to community engagement. He is exploring aspects of design that honors heritage, cultural integration and impact on quality of life. 

Abdul-Hafiz Maltizaa Yakubu Dason, MArch

Architectural Designer

Abdul-Hafiz’s practice as a young designer is grounded in the belief that design, particularly architecture, must belong. To belong is to be driven by context, whether physical, social, cultural, or historical. This approach advances architecture as people-centered, fostering meaningful connections and a strong sense of place. ‎His appreciation of the broader field of design, including character and graphic design, shapes his creative passion and informs his approach. He is motivated by the idea that design should be creative, deliberate, and impactful, capable of driving sustainable change within the built environment.
